Q) Anybody else think that GAME have a cheek selling pre-owned games for almost the same a brand new game? Example-Dead Rising£ 49.99 new - Preowned-£44.99 I mean who buys these things at such a shockingly high price?

A) Although i do use both Gamestation and Game as i usually part ex my games and buy second hand, if you want to buy new games try Tescos or Morrison's as they sell brand new games at least £10 cheaper than either of the above shops! Games that are £49.99 in Gamestation are between £ 35 - £39.99 in both of these supermarkets! you can get them even cheaper if you shop around on-line.

Does anyone know how to make an online game where people can play eachother?

Q) I don't mean a game that you buy on CD then play online. I mean like Yahoo! Games where you enter a room then choose an opponent. I don't need a server so don't advertise these. I'll be hosting on my own computer which I will build to handle large volumes of traffic if it ever needs it.

A) u need to have some programs like c++ or some other and u need to known the programing language or what u need to write that that thing would hapen then all of this things combined then u can have maybe a game but still it's dificult to learn on you're own so buy a book about programing then maybe u will learn how to create something like an internet game................

A) well since i know you have yahoo then i would use a geocity which you can find on the left hand side of the screen when you go straight to the yahoo homepage it is really easy to know how to use..you don't have to be a computer whiz..i just used it for a project and it is great...and free

Q) I have deleted cookies and temporary files and yet my computer takes me into games when I want to go into answers. It freezes my pages when I try to answer questions. It doesnt let me in to some of the sites and tells me that that page is not available. It doesnt let me in to e mail sometimes for hours on end. It makes me feel like hitting it....lol...it is the most stubborn instrument that has been made!!!!! I think the server inside is not a server because he doesnt serve me and serves only himself.!!!!

Can you transfer a half played game from one computer to another?

Q) I feel really stupid even asking this 'cos I'm sure the answer is obvious but my son is more than halfway through playing The Sims on my laptop. He's getting his own PC for Christmas, and obviously it would be better for him to continue playing it on there. Is that possible? Do you just save it onto one of those memory sticks and download it like anything else? Sorry for such a lame question, but it's not something I've ever attempted before.

A) yes it is... just go to the program directory in your C drive and look for the game's folder... it's either going to be listed under Sims or EA ... but either way, within the folder you should find a save file.. probably a .sav file but it can be different... copy the save file (if ur not sure just transfer the whole Sims folder) to ur pendrive or cd or dvd... and copy the save file/folder over to the new comp after you 've installed the Sims in the new comp... hope that helps

Does anyone know any decent Computer Games were you can play as a vampire?

Q) I'm already aware of the Vampire: The Masquerade games on the PC (and own both), the Soul Reaver / Legacy of Kahn titles and that you can be a vampire in oblivion, but are there any others that people would recommend? For some reason I'm got a bit of a digital craving for blood building! ;)

Why use cheats to play computer games ?

Q) Surely the whole buzz is to beat the games or players using your own skills. Please explain why - I'm curious.

A) Because some people lack the patience or initiative to do anything themselves. I personally use cheats AFTER I've beat the game to get a little bit of extra amusement out of the game afterwards.

A) www.runescape.com You can be a wizard, fighter and other character types by what skills you have acquired. There are quests and lots of ways to build your skills. There are goblins, scorpions, dragons, dwarves, imps and some others that i may not remember. You are in control of everything.

A) I use Flash to create games for companies, sites, friends etc right now and I'm still learning. I've been using the program for close to 6 years now as well hah. It takes a good amount of work. Coding a game (depending on what type of game) varies from easy to extreme. Being good at math and understanding how everything works together are definite perks. You also have to create the layouts, graphical treatments, databasing (if you want high scores etc etc), so it can be a pretty long process sometimes. If you were interested in developing games for consoles, you might have to either teach yourself different types of languages (I'm not actually sure what the standard is for games on a console), or 3d software, or be a tester hah. Either one choose, chances are you'd have to go to college to persue it. I know colleges like Full Sail offer degrees in it now considering the video game industry is becoming more of a force year after year

A) If what you mean are like MMORPGs or just simple Online Communities, a Google search is a very nice thing to do. However, you can always just learn to code, or use Game Maker, it does a pretty nice job (Though it's going to be very difficult trying to make an online community through it, then again making something online is always harder than usual). For an RPG, touchofdeathproductions.com has Eclipse, and it's pretty nice. I haven't played Habbo Hotel, but I do know a little about Coke Studios, so making something like that is very difficult and will probably be applauded if another is created and executed nicely.

A) Well, depends on what you want to do. If you have a great idea for a 3D game for the next gen or current gaming systems, think up the game in your head and draw the images and sketches and levels (if you are an artist type) and write down what you want to do. Pitch the game to gaming companies and see if they'll buy it. Or, you can take your vision to other developers online and they might help you write the code for it. If you want to actually program your own games, start small and gradually advance. By that I mean, try learning a programming language. There are several ways you can go about doing this. Get the Java development kit from sun (its free), write a program (text-based hangman is a popular first game) and see how that goes. If that is too advanced, start with learning html, then javascript and work with Images. That way, you can create basic games and publish them on the web and get feedback from online friends/family/players. If you want to invest money, you can even buy Adobe Flash. There are several games out on the internet that just use flash. However, to create a game in flash, you need to learn ActionScript, another programming language. Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Director is especially good for creating decent looking graphical videogames I hear. Hope that helps.

A) Flash is not free. Even the student version costs $300. If you want your game to run in the browser, you would have to learn java and how to make applets. A) good question its too hard to explain in this box. I myself am homebrewing. homebrewing is the process of codeing and emulating your games. If you have a nintendo DS or a GBA these are the much easier ways to make a adventurous RPG etc... Basicly you need to know how to program And this is no simple process. Lets say for example the nintendo DS im working on i need a chip much like a gameshark cheat code accessory to make the ds think im a developer. then you need an emulator and a script creator. Such As Dragon Basic which i use which is the easiest GBA/DS programming code out. Basicly so i dont repeat my self follow these steps. Download DragonBasic Download An emulator. Does anyone else own a computer game called Pet Vet?

Q) I have been having trouble with it, and went to Technical Support at their web site, but that didn't help. I have updated my video card, but it still keeps crashing back to the desktop and a little box says "Runtime error. This program has caused us to terminate it in an unusual way." And then it shuts down the game without saving it. Can anyone help? 10 points and my gratitude to anyone who can! Thanks. I have NOD antivirus, and that has done several runs on the game. I also have windows XP. Yeah, i am also wondering if it could be overuse or something. Any ideas?

A) wish you would have added more info , like what operating system are you running it on? xp? vista? but i own the game and i have not tried it yet on my vista but ran perfectly fine when i had xp. but i don't think it is a game problem , sounds more like a puter problem, but i recommend that you run virus scans (hopefully with the free avg) , try to do a defragment, clean temp files(always) along with history. and i bet you will find something out of wack. good luck to you. wish i could help you but that would be liking wishing i have trouble with mine, lol. but good luck to you
